    Dr James Sparrow

    PRINCIPAL CHIROPRACTOR

    Dr James Sparrow is a Director of SA Spine & Health. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science majoring in human anatomy and a 2 year Masters Degree in Chiropractic from Macquarie University in 2002. His primary focus is on Musculo-Skeletal disorders and how they affect correct biomechanical function. His Chiropractic treatment is based on the latest scientific research and relies on identifying the cause of the dysfunction and formulating the best treatment plan. He is a firm believer in preventative care and understands that both treatment and exercise rehabilitation is required for optimal recovery.

    Dr Benjamin Allan is a Director of SA Spine & Health. Originally from South Australia, Benjamin moved to Sydney to study Chiropractic and has practiced in Adelaide, throughout Asia (Macau, Singapore, Jakarta) and Melbourne since beginning practice in 2002. Ben was previously the owner and principal Chiropractor at Black Rock Chiropractic Centre in Melbourne for 10 years before deciding to return home to Adelaide. Ben’s professional interests include both proactive maintenance care and symptom based care and he understands the importance of Chiropractic care for all ages. Ben also has an excellent understanding of sports related injuries thanks to his thorough knowledge of body biomechanics and a keen interest in sports.

    Dr Ben Smith is a Director of SA Spine and Health. Dr Ben completed his Chiropractic studies at Murdoch University (Perth, W.A) graduating with distinction. Ben is extremely passionate about Chiropractic and the benefits it provides. It was this passion that drove him to volunteer in India to treat the less fortunate as part of the "Hands on India" programme. Ben has a keen interest in sports, particularly football and enjoys an active lifestyle. Ben combines Dry Needling, Trigger Point Therapy, Active Release Therapy (ART), SOT pelvic blocking, stretching and rehabilitation exercises.

  • Lauren Edwards

    PHYSIOTHERAPIST

    Lauren has been a Physiotherapist for many years & more recently she completed her Masters of Applied Sport Science to become a Sport Scientist adding to her Strength and Conditioning & Level 2 Athletics Australia Coaching qualifications. This allows Lauren to combine her knowledge of injury management, assessment & treatment as a physiotherapist with a sport science lens providing an even more analytical approach and biomechanical assessment to injury prevention & rehabilitation & return to sport or activity. Lauren has a passion for working amongst the action shown through the years of experience with both amateur & elite sporting teams. These include AFL & AFWL teams such as Adelaide Crows, Fremantle &, North Melbourne, Athletics SA, Netball SA, Cricket Tasmania, Adelaide Adrenaline Ice Hockey, Cycling TDU Cycling & South Adelaide/PHOS Camden FC.

    Lauren has a keen interest in the management and rehabilitation of lower limbs injuries and tendons particularly running related injuries through sport or the recreational runner or any age. She also is passionate about preventing injuries in children and adolescents in sport.

    Danielle has been helping people find the solutions to their health issues for over 14 years now. She loves helping educate people about their bodies, what their symptoms mean and what can be done to change that picture. Danielle works with you to get your symptoms eased and then works on correcting all the underlying causes for long term improvement.

    After her husband was diagnosed with his second digestive autoimmune condition 8 years ago, she dived into the world of Gut Health and her true passion developed. Since then Danielle has self published her book "Gluten Free and Happy", she has also had an article published in "Australian Gluten Free Life" magazine, been interviewed for various gut focused online summits and podcast. She is also now writing technical articles to support other practitioners.

    Danielle loves gut health and education so much that she also runs the group Tummy Rescue on Facebook and Instagram and presents talks and webinars to educate the public on what simple diet and lifestyle changes can be made to start improving your health.

    Bernie Harrison qualified as Remedial Massage Therapist and Naturopath in 1995 with the Youngston Institute of Natural Science. She had a particular interest in Massage Therapy and Reflexology being that they are such immediate healing modalities.

    Her passion extends to working with herbs, nutrition, flower essences, Reiki and homoeopathy to achieve balance and harmony within the body. She has been working in the health and wellbeing arena for the best part of 18 years and believes a holistic approach addressing the mind, body and spirit brings peace and happiness amongst our busy fast paced lives.

    In her own time, she enjoys getting outdoors with her family, camping, exploring and being at the beach are their favourite things to do together.
